COFACE APPOINTS XAVIER DENECKER AS MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR UK AND IRELAND

Xavier Denecker

Coface is pleased to announce with immediate effect the appointment of Xavier Denecker as Managing Director of its UK and Ireland businesses.

Xavier, who has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Coface Iberian platform, will take over from Jon Lindsay, who has seen Coface develop an integrated Credit Management offer and strongly grow its Receivables Finance business.

“Xavier’s appointment reconfirms our commitment to establishing our UK and Ireland business as a market leader and to growing a profitable business based on the foundations of excellent Credit Insurance, Collections Management, Receivables Finance and Information,” said Jerome Cazes, Chief Executive Officer of Coface Group.

Xavier joined Coface in 1990 and has had an international career, developing Coface businesses in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. “His wide background in banking and international business as well as credit insurance gives us an excellent opportunity to build a client oriented Trade Receivables Management Business,” added Cazes.

“I am delighted to be able to join Coface UK at such a critical time in the evolution of the company and the industry,” said Xavier Denecker. “Coface is unique in that it is strongly embracing the importance of a broad trade receivables offer. This will be required to satisfy the increasing strategic importance of credit management in many companies. With the challenges that the UK credit management industry faces in terms of distribution, product offer and meeting client demands for excellent service, this willingness to consider the broader requirements of UK Corporates will propel Coface to clear leadership. I am looking forward to the challenge, am very excited about working with the existing Management Team and building on what Jon has achieved and genuinely believe we can achieve our ambition to be the leading provider of Credit Management solutions within the UK and Ireland."

Jon Lindsay has been with the UK company since March 2005 and has led major initiatives such as developing a London Market business team and opening offices around the UK and Ireland. Jon will be working with Xavier until the end of November enabling a smooth handover of responsibilities.
