Zurich Credit announces expansion plans.

"To support our growth in the UK, and to ensure we continue to provide the highest levels of service to our brokers and policyholders, we are pleased to announce that our Credit Insurance Underwriting team based in the UK will be strengthened by the appointment of two additional Commercial Underwriters, one in Manchester, to work alongside Nathalie McNally who joined us in April, and one in London to work alongside Simon Amey. This team of four underwriters will be responsible for new business enquiries and the servicing of our existing policy portfolio, and you will be contacted shortly by the team to confirm who your contact will be.

In addition, to assist our Risk Underwriting team in Frankfurt in their assessment of UK based buyers, our Commercial Underwriters in the UK will be joined by a dedicated UK Risk Underwriter. Further details of this appointment will be available shortly.

As part of these changes the UK will become a Centre of Competence (CoC) for Credit Insurance, joining recently established units in Italy and Switzerland in reporting into the Centre of Excellence in Frankfurt, from where our European Credit Insurance operations are managed. Sven Krause, previously responsible for our UK operations will act as the referral point for all European CoCs. Simon Amey will manage the UK CoC.

Many of you will have worked with Mirella Hantke and Nicole Huppertz, both of whom have been an important part of our credit underwriting team for many years. We regret that Mirella and Nicole have decided to move from Zurich to pursue their careers with other companies. We are extremely sorry to see them leave, but wish them well for the future. Mirella will hand over her policies to the UK team during the course of October. Until then she will continue to be the contact person for all policy related matters.

We believe that the strengthening of our UK underwriting presence is an important next step in our commitment to the UK market, and to you and our policyholders. As we develop and increase our credit underwriting capabilities throughout Europe, we very much look forward to building on our existing strong relationships with you."
